Full Description

Vernacular cottage, paired with No. 146 Chaddesden Road [SMR 32759] and similar in design and layout. Gable end to Chaddesden Lane, two storey with tiled roof. Three storey addition to the rear of the property with the same roof pitch. Altered window openings with uPVC windows. Sitting within burgage plot. (1) The 1st edition 25" Ordnance Survey map of c. 1880 shows a dwelling situated in the location of no. 140 Chaddesden Lane. (2) Modern maps suggest the building may have had some alterations to the eastern end of the building. (3)
