Full Description

Bonehill Farm appears on the Tithe Map of 1840 labelled 'Bone Hill'. (1) It appears largely similar on the 1st edition 25" OS map of c. 1880 and is named 'Bonehills'. (2) Thomas Hind bought the messuage known as Bonehill Farm in 1745. There is a datestone of 1746 at the rear of the house, when it is thought that Hind made alterations to the building. There are original documents of land indentures dating back to 1687 that may indicate an earlier age for part of the building. The house is still owned by the family line today [2005]. (3)
