Full Description

SK 11 63. A small barrow of gravel on Pilsbury Farm and "adjoining the river Manifold [sic-presumably the Dove] was opened on the 30th August 1847 and found to cover charcoal. (1). During a field survey in 1966 this barrow was not located. (2). No entry within Barnatt's barrow survey would appear to correlate with this site. (3,4).
