Full Description

A former fishing tackle maker's workshop is situated on Dig Street, Ashbourne. It comprises of a two storey shop building of early 19th century date, with late 18th century workshop behind and situated adjacent to Henmore Brook. The original firm was founded as Foster Bros. in 1763, but it now [1997] trades as Fosters Sporting Services Ltd. The earlier workshop is currently a bar and bistro. (1) The shop building fronting the road is now in use as a wine bar [2015]. (2)
