Full Description

Bradwell Dale quarry and ruined lime kiln remains of the late 19th century. Situated to the west of the main road along Bradwell Dale. (1) Lists compiled by the Inspector of Mines of all quarries in Derbyshire at least 20ft-deep include Bradwell Dale Quarry at Bradwell, owned by Luther Morton of Church Street, producing chert and limestone. Three men were employed within this quarry in 1899, five in 1905 and 1906. No further details are known. (2)
