Full Description

Site was landscaped and all plant removed in 1959. (1) The main quarry was started after the 1922 OS map survey, although a smaller, lower quarry had previously existed on-site. The quarries closed in 1959-1960 as a result of action from the National Park Authority and has subsequently been converted to a picnic site. (2)
