Spa was formed in the corner of the field, with low stone walls and weir stone. The water would've been around 61cm in depth. The spring flowed from the wading bath to Gun Lane in a stone cultvert. Formerly delivered into a large gritstone trough in the lane (since removed, 1993). (1)
Unpublished document: Judge, T (Ripley Historical Group). 1993. Some places of interest in Heage Village.
