Full Description

At the west end of Long Wood, there is a smaller area [than SMR 34211] of well-preserved charcoal platforms. The platforms are terraced into the slope, sub-rectangular or crescent shaped in plan, and up to c. 5m long by c. 3m wide, with banks c. 0.75m high on the upslope sides. There are also some larger sub-rectangular shallow depressions in the same area, c. 6m to 7m long and up to 3m wide. (1)
