Monument record MDR15176 - Building structure within pasture, Lea Wood

Type and Period (2)

Protected Status/Designation

  • None recorded

Full Description

Foundations of a large stone wall with the remains of a small structure. Maps show a boundary running downslope from here, but none indicate the presence of a building. The pasture, likely one of several areas 'improved' by Peter Nightingale in 1740-1750, was part of Leawood Farm. South of the pasture is a walled enclosure where farm buildings once stood. (1)
