Full Description

Continuous spring-fed water trough on Water Lane. Water Lane may be the centre of the medieval settlement of Middleton and the presence of Romano-British sites accessible from Water Lane may be indicative of earlier settlement. (1) Access to the water trough has been previously discussed. (2)
