Full Description

Post-medieval single storey outbuilding, approx. 12m long, 2.5m wide and 2m high, south of Alport Farm and Alport Castle Farm (see SMR 8298). Attached to a wall enclosing the hamlet, the building is a stock shelter and a very unusual style of building for the peak district. Uncoursed dry-stone built with a single-pitched tile roof, a single door in the southern side, and a small window in the west gable. (1)
