Full Description

An inscribed lead pig was found at c. SK 30 61 (Matlock Bank) in 1783 just below the surface during agricultural improvements. It was found close to a 'bole' of large flat stones. The face of the lead pig was inscribed 'L.ARVCONI.VERECVND.METAL.LVTVD'. (1)
