Full Description

SK 1930 6313. Roman coins & Bronze Fibula found A.D.1842. (1) Roman pottery, including fragments of amphora and mortaria were found in addition to two "Third Brass coins of Tetricus (270-73) and Constantine II (317-40) found in 1831, whilst making a garden at the upper end of Middleton-by-Youlgreave village. A probable 2nd century bronze enamelled fibula was found on the same ground in 1843. (2, 3, 7)
