Full Description

Tracks predating 1764 and linking Litton Mill (see SMR 9421) with Littonslack and Litton. The eastern branch was marked 'Bakewell Road' on the 1764 Inclosure Award plan and was part of the road linking the mill to Cressbrook Mill and Monsal Head, where it joined the Hernestone Head to Chesterfield and the Longstone to Wirksworth Moor turnpikes of 1759.
