Monument record MDR15527 - Field boundary bank, Thunderpit Lane, Stoney Middleton

Type and Period (1)

Protected Status/Designation

  • None recorded

Full Description

Short length of bank, up to 0.5m high and approx 2m wide, running north-east to south-west marking the site of a removed boundary of post-medieval date. The boundary that it marks is not on any map suggesting it was out of use by 1847, the date of the first map, or that it was short-lived. It was probably created sometime after enclosure in 1784, although no map exists to prove it. (1)
