Full Description

The Inn has can be seen in a photograph of the mail coach loaded with passengers outside the property. The landlord, Scott, is known to have run coaches between Sheffield and Chesterfield but competition from the Greyhound public house forced him to sell his horses and vehicles. The coming of the railway in 1870 meant the end of the coaching era. (1)
