Full Description

This area has been much altered. The original fire station with its horse-drawn engine was situated at the junction with Sheffield Road. The horses were replaced a little before 1910 by a motor-driven engine. After 1939 the fire station moved to the corner of Hallowes Lane and Cemetery Road. (1)
