Full Description

A date stone over the archway into the yard of the former Public Health Board office (now occupied by the St John Ambulance Brigade) reads 1878. The Board was responsible for the provision of clean water and sewage disposal in the late 19th century. Through the archway you can see the fireplaces of demolished cottages in the yard. (1)
