Full Description
Remains of a field system or field boundaries are visible as linear parallel earthworks going downslope near Chunal. The earthworks are reminiscent of Romano-British field systems elsewhere in the Peak District, but could also represent remnants of a medieval open field system. The hamlet of Chunal is recorded in Domesday. (1)
