Full Description

Ridge and Furrow earthworks, off Crich Lane, Belper. What was recorded as being medieval ridge and furrow, aligned roughly east - west and located east of Crich Lane, north of Belper was identified as earthworks during a LiDAR survey carried out in 2015. (1) Photographs of the features were taken in 2017 as part of the DerwentWISE Heritage at Risk project (please see linked images). Air photos taken in 1971-1972 show ridge and furrow earthworks in the northern part of this area, while their presence in the southern part of the area is less than clear in those particular images.
