Full Description

A Grade II listed, mid-19th century mill, built of coursed stone with a hipped slate roof and tall roof vents. The mill is a T-shaped building of four storeys. The north/south range has coved bracketed eaves and an off centre advanced bay with gable above. There are about ten bays with irregularly placed windows, generally with glazing bars. The rear east/west wing has a blank top floor, otherwise it also has about ten bays with sash-windows with glazing bars. There is an additional block in the angle of the 'T'. (1) Although not mentioned in the listing, there is a carriageway through the northern end of the north/south range visible on photographs of the mill. (2, 3)
