No. 3 Chesterfield Road, former lodge to Fieldhead House, Belper, an early 19th century gate lodge. There is a bench mark on the southeast side of the building, marked on the 1st edition 25" OS map of c1880, and is included in the Bench Mark Database as: '(please see linked website). (1) From the National Heritage List for England: 'CHESTERFIELD ROAD 1. 5167 (West Side) No 3 (Lodge at Field Head House) SK 3547 3/26 6.12.74. II 2. Earlier C19. (On Tithe Map of 1844). Single storey symmetrical building with rounded corner to street. Coped Flemish gable with kneelers. Blind window in gable end above door which has Tudor arch with label and dressed stone architrave. Corbelled eaves to flanking 2 windowed, slightly advanced, sides. Listing NGR: SK3515747734.' (2)
