The Old House, Makeney Road, Duffield, originally a mid 18th century building. From the National Heritage List for England: 'SK 34 SW 3/13 13.2.67 PARISH OF DUFFIELD MAKENEY ROAD (South Side) The Old House GV II House. Mid C18 and C20. Coursed squared gritstone with gritstone dressings. Plain tile roof, stone gable stacks and stone coped gables with plain kneelers. Two storeys. Symmetrical three bay north elevation has central doorway with stone lintel and jambs. Panelled door, the top two panels glazed. Flanked on each side by 2-light square section flush mullion windows with square pane leaded glazing. Three similar 2-light windows above. Lower range to rear, all with C20 glazing.
