Full Description

SK 09 67: Dow Low, Round Barrow (site of): On the 20th June 1850, a small mound of earth near the large barrow at Sterndale was excavated but no internment was discovered. (1). This barrow was described as near SMR 7122 [Dow Low] and as being small and earthen. It was excavated by Bateman on the 20th June 1850 but produced no finds. The area has now been quarried. (2).
