A Grade II listed obelisk at the junction of Temple Road and South Parade (A6), dated to the 1820s. The obelisk has a tapering gritstone shaft in two sections on a gritstone plinth, approximately 3.5 metres high, with painted lettering to three sides of the shaft with the inscription 'TEMPLE HOTEL'.
