Police public call box, Crich Tramway Museum, Crich, c1925. From the National Heritage List for England: 'SK 35 SW CRICH MATLOCK ROAD Metropolitan Police Public Call Post at the National Tramway Museum (Formerly listed as Metropolitan Police Public Call Post at Tramway Museum, CLIFFSIDE) GV II Police Public Call Post. c1925 or earlier. Cast Iron. Square plan, with segmental domed top surmounted by a light. Panelled sides, with small door on main front with modern instruction panel. Above a raised panel inscribed "POLICE PUBLIC CALL POST" and above a crown flanked by the letters M and P. The call box was obtained from Hendon Police Headquarters and was moved to its present site in 1983. Listing NGR: SK3447255001.' (1)
