Full Description

Unity Mill House, Derwent Street, Belper, an early 20th century building. From the National Heritage List for England: 'SK 3447 SE 1/117 DERWENT STREET (North Side ) Unity Mill (Formerly listed as Premises of the Hexoran Company Ltd) GV II Early C20. An unusual design. Coursed stone, slate roof with very wide span. East facade has one round window in gable end and three similar windows below this. South facade to street has buttressed and rendered east end and stone sill band below two groups of three small lights. Three tall windows below but western end of this facade has later ground floor fenestration. West elevation has the centre advanced. Roof cut away over splayed sides. Rear or north facade has wide gabled roof over centre loading bay. Listing NGR: SK3458347487.' (1)
