Former well house to north of No. 14 Well Lane, Belper, a late 18th century building. From the National Heritage List for England: 'BELPER 950/0/10011 WELL LANE 23-JUL-01 Former well-house to north of No.14 GV II Former well house. Late C18. Coursed squared stone. Rectangular chamber with stone lintel over entrance leads down steps to the water source. Smaller steps at side probably for lodging buckets. Stone walls and ceiling to the structure which is partly underground. Forms a group with Nos 8-12, 12A and 14 Well Lane. This is an unusual survival of a former public water supply of the period.
