Type and Period (1)

  • (Georgian to Mid 20th Century - 1750 AD to 1950 AD)

Full Description

Four [although the photographs show more than four] old-style lamp posts on the path beside the brook between Bridge Street and Ford Street. By 1986, the top brackets had been replaced with modern ones and the lamp posts were in need of re-painting. They were recorded as being traditional features in an area with potential as a public amenity. By 1989, the walkway had been tidied up and the lamp posts had been re-painted and restored with more traditional top brackets. See photographs for more details. (1)
