Protected Status/Designation

Full Description

A stone field barn located in the first field at the bottom of Gypsy Lane, dating to at least late 19th century and surveyed by the DerwentWISE Field Barn Project in March 2016. The building is in poor overall condition due to a hole in the sagging slate roof through which birds are entering the building. The windows and doors are covered with corrugated sheets and the guttering is missing. The walls appear to be generally in good condition, measuring 6 paces x 5 paces. The building does not appear to be in current use. See survey report for further details. (1) The barn appears on the second edition 25"OS Map of c. 1900. (2)
