Full Description

A limestone and mortar single-storey field barn, measuring approximately 18' x 4', with blue-tiled pitched roof, surveyed by the DerwentWISE Field Barns Project in March 2016. Dating to at least the late 19th century, the barn is in good overall condition and in current agricultural use. The single doorway in the south elevation is covered by a plastic sheet, and the single window in the east elevation is also covered. The southern elevation is mostly obscured by a later breeze-block extension. See survey report for further details. (1) The barn is visible on the second edition 25" OS Map of c. 1896. (2)
