Full Description

There is a sand pit situated here on the 1st edition 25" OS map. (1) The sand pit remains in use throughout the early 20th century. (2, 3) It is not marked on modern OS mapping [2016]. The area appears to be covered in rough grassland and scrub. (4, 5)
