Full Description

A number of buildings and a well can be seen at this location on the 1st edition 25" OS map of c. 1880. They are on the edge of Handley Wood, in an area that appears to have been part of planned woodland clearance. They are situated on a footpath that runs from Handley Wood to Handleywood Farm. They are likely to be agricultural in origin, potentially including a former farmhouse. (1) There is only one building left standing at the site, according to modern OS mapping [2016]. (2)
