Full Description

One of the longest rakes in Derbyshire with very impressive open sections. Long Rake mine had very old fashioned mine and traditional works still operated in early 1980's. It is the best site in the Derbyshire ore field. It is possibly late 19th/early 20th century operations. (2). See SMR 15749 for the section within Youlgreave.
