SK 0080 7870: Taxal, Stone Axe: A stone axe was found in the winter of 1975-1976 on land under the plough in Whaley Bridge parish (a). The present location of the find is unknown. (1) According to the publican at Taxal, the stone axe was found during the lifting of potatoes. (2)
