Full Description

SK 1310 7535 : MONKSDALE, FIELD SYSTEM Traces of 'Celtic' field systems on the dale sides. Possibly Roman in date. (1,2). SK 1305 7529: Monksdale Field System. Visible features include unclear boundaries, possible rectilinear enclosures and possible clearance cairns. The Romano-British date is based upon the rectilinear fields, even though these are fragmentary. (3).
