Full Description

Glutton Grange (Glutton), Hartington Middle Quarter. Partially extant 17th century farmstead. The farmstead is of a linear plan with seven sides of the yard formed of agricultural buildings and additional detached elements to the main plan. There are tertiary elements to the main plan, incorporating dispersed agricultural buildings arranged in multiple yards. The farmhouse is attached to the agricultural range. The site is in an isolated location. Large modern sheds have been identified on the site, and may have destroyed or obscured historic buildings. There has been a partial loss (less than 50%) of traditional buildings. (1) (2) (3) (4)
