Chamberknoll farmhouse and outbuilding, A623, Peak Forest, a mid-18th and 19th century building. 'Chamberknoll, Peak Forest. Partially extant 19th century farmstead. The farmstead is of a linear plan with five sides of the yard formed of agricultural buildings and additional detached elements to the main plan. There are tertiary elements to the main plan, incorporating a L-plan courtyard with one side of the yard formed of agricultural buildings. The farmhouse is attached to the agricultural range. The site is in an isolated location. There has been a partial loss (less than 50%) of traditional buildings.' (1-4) From the National Heritage List for England: 'SK 17 NW PARISH OF PEAK FOREST 3/3 Chamberknoll Farmhouse and attached outbuilding 21.4.1967 (formerly listed as Chamberknoll Farmhouse) II Farmhouse and attached outbuilding. Mid-C18 with C19 refashioning. Coursed rubble limestone with gritstone dressings, plain gables, intermediate stone ridge stacks, coupled and diagonally set, and stone slated roof. Two storeys, six bays, with house and outbuilding each of three bays. House part: Three bay front with 3-light mullioned windows, those to ground floor with lozenge glazing, those to upper floor with leaded quarries. Central doorway with shallow pointed arched head and plain planked door. Outbuilding: Attached to west end of house and with three plain doorways and one taking-in door, all with plain planked doors.
