Full Description
Spring House Farm farmhouse, Warehouse Lane, Hope, an early 19th century and 1848 building.
'Spring House, Hope. Partially extant 19th century farmstead. The farmstead is formed of a loose courtyard with two sides of the yard formed of agricultural buildings and additional detached elements to the main plan. The farmhouse is detached with side on to the yard. The site is in an isolated location. There has been a partial loss (less than 50%) of traditional buildings.' (1-4)

'SK 18 SE PARISH OF HOPE WAREHOUSE LANE 7/88 (West Side) Spring House Farmhouse II
Farmhouse. Early C19 and 1849. Coursed gritstone and limestone with gritstone dressings. Welsh slate roofs with stone gable end stacks and stone coped gables. Two storeys, double pile plan. South elevation of three bays, plus a lower single bay to the left. Well tooled stone. Main three bays symmetrical with central doorway with plain ashlar doorcase, C20 door and rectangular overlight. Flanked on each side by glazing bar sashes with stone lintels and projecting sills. Three similar windows above. Castellated parapet. Left hand bay with a glazing bar sash to each floor. Datestone 1848 above the back door.
