Monument record MDR1865 - ?Township Boundary, south of Little Hucklow

Type and Period (1)

Protected Status/Designation

  • None recorded

Full Description

Two parallel earthworks running from High Rake, near Windmill, into the village of Little Hucklow. (1) It is unclear from the aerial photographs where these earthworks are or were. However, the type of fields appears to change at this line; to the east were cultivated fields and over the road was the start of the moorland. This may represent the medieval town boundary. (3)
