Full Description
Castledge House Farm, Great Hucklow. Partially extant 19th century farmstead. The farmstead is formed of a regular courtyard of L-plan with three sides of the yard formed of agricultural buildings. There are tertiary elements to the main plan, incorporating a linear arrangement of agricultural buildings. The farmhouse is set away from the yard. The site is located within or in association to a village. Large modern sheds have been identified on the site, and may have destroyed or obscured historic buildings. There has been significant loss (greater than 50%) of traditional buildings. (1) (2) (3) (4)
