Dutch Barn, north of Butts Road, Little Longston, an early 19th century building. 'Dutch Barn, Little Longstone. Extant outfarm. The outfarm is formed of a loose courtyard with two sides of the yard formed of agricultural buildings. The site is in an isolated location. with one or more of the structural elements dating to the 19th century All the traditional buildings remain extant.' (1-4) From the National Heritage List for England: 'SK 17 SE PARISH OF LITTLE LONGSTONE OFF MAIN STREET 3/35 (North Side) Dutch Barn belonging to the Manor II Dutch barn. Early C19. Rubble limestone with gritstone dressings and quoins. Stone slate roof with one stone gable end stack. Two storeys. South elevation of six bays. Low ground floor byre, with from left to right, an entrance opening, a partly blocked opening with window set in an enlarged entrance opening and a partly blocked opening with window set in. Continuous stone band above which serves as lintels to these openings and as sills to four tall round-arched openings above. All these openings have gritstone quoins. To the right a further entrance opening with quoins and two square openings above with dressed stone surrounds. An unusually grand and 'architectural' farm building. Listing NGR: SK1899672327.' (5)
