Lower Booths Farm farmhouse, off A6187, Hathersage, a mid 17th century building. 'Lower Booths Farm, Hathersage. Extant 17th century farmstead. The farmstead is formed of a loose courtyard with one side of the yard formed of agricultural buildings and additional detached elements to the main plan. The farmhouse is set away from the yard. The site is located within or in association to a village. All the traditional buildings remain extant.' (1-4) From the National Heritage List for England: 'SK 28 SW PARISH OF HATHERSAGE HATHERSAGE BOOTHS 2/26 Lower Booths Farmhouse II Former farmhouse, now house. Mid C17. Coursed rubble gritstone with quoins, coped south west gable with moulded kneelers, gable ridge stacks, that to the north east end ashlar, with moulded cap. Stone slated roofs. 'T' plan, with end baffle entry. South east elevation; two storeys, three bays, with 2-light recessed chamfer mullioned windows above mullioned 3-light ground floor openings, now with C20 casements. Doorway at south west end with quoined surround and C20 plank door with rectangular light. Various 1,2 and 3-light chamfer mullioned windows at rear. Listing NGR: SK2398580795.' (5)
