Full Description

A polished stone axe, now in Sheffield Museum was found at approx. SK 145 746 in the rubble filling of a stone wall. (1). The exact find spot was indicated by the finder 1m from the foot of a drystone wall at SK 1448 7456. (2) Now in Sheffield City Museum. The petrology indicates an altered microdiorite. The find was possibly not in situ. (3).
