Full Description

Former site of Nether Ashop, east of Normans Farm, Hope Woodlands, a 19th century building demolished c1935. Site of Nether Ashop, Hope Woodlands. Demolished 19th century farmstead. The farmstead was of a linear plan. The farmhouse was attached to the agricultural range. The site was located within a loose farmstead cluster. All traditional buildings have been lost. (1-4) A member of the public who's ancestor lived on the farm submitted a photograph taken while the buildings were still standing, and reported that the farm was demolished with the construction of the dam for the Ladybower Reservoir (please see linked image).
