Chandlers, Rakes Road, Monyash, a mid 19th century building. Chandlers, Monyash. Extant 19th century farmstead. The farmstead is formed of a regular courtyard with multiple yards. The farmhouse is set away from the yard. The site is located within or in association to a village. All the traditional buildings remain extant. (1-4) From the National Heritage List for England: 'SK 16 NW PARISH OF MONYASH RAKES ROAD 5/150 (West Side) 12.7.1967 Chandlers (formerly listed as 'Park View') GV II Farmhouse. Mid C19. Coursed limestone rubble, gritstone dressings and punched stone quoins. Stone slate roof. Stone gable end stacks. Stone coped gables with moulded kneelers Plain eaves band. Two storeys, three bays. Central, flush, quoined doorcase with bracketed stone hood. Raised and fielded panelled door with thin fanlight over. To either side, glazing bar sashes in flush quoined surrounds. Three similar windows over. Listing NGR: SK1496066461.' (5)
