Homestead Farm farmhouse, Main Street, Elton, of 18th century date.
'Homestead Farm, Elton. Partially extant 18th century farmstead. The farmstead is of a linear plan with two sides of the yard formed of agricultural buildings and additional detached elements to the main plan. The farmhouse is attached to the agricultural range. The site is located within or in association to a village. Large modern sheds are located to the side of the site, suggesting it may remain in agricultural use. There has been a partial loss (less than 50%) of traditional buildings.' (1-4)

'SK 26 NW PARISH OF ELTON EAST END 5/7 (North Side) Homestead Farmhouse and Homestead Cottage (formerly listed as pair of cottages on north side of East End) GV II
Farmhouse and cottage beneath single roof. C18. Regularly coursed gritstone blocks with projecting quoins, coved eaves, coped gables and moulded kneelers, end and intermediate ridge stacks and Welsh slate roof. Two storeys and attics, irregular elevation with single and 2-light window openings, with projecting stone frames and flat mullions, generally with C20 frames. Blocked window to west end ground floor, quoined opening to first floor at east end, now partially blocked to form window. Two quoined door surrounds with massive lintels, that to the east end with stone segmental hood.
