Full Description

[SK 1989 7181] CROSS. (1). "Village Cross Probably late mediaeval. Stone with tapered shaft on octagonal base and five circular steps.". (2) Village Cross. Grade II listed cross, probably 15th century in date. Constructed of gritstone with five circular stone steps with iron ties linking each stone. It has an octagonal base, square to octagonal shaft, much weathered, and circular cap with pyramidal top. (5) Shaft c. 2.5m high.
