Full Description

SK: 168 703: Taddington, Early Bronze Age Flint dagger: Eearly Bronze Age flint dagger found by Mr Furniss, a local resident, in 1932 on the surface of a small plateau on the western side of Demon's Dale, on the south side of Taddington Dale. (1). The dagger is now in the possession of Mr. W. Furniss of Holme Farm, Taddington, who stated that it was found by his father Mr. R.W. Furniss but could offer no further siting information. Major Harris (local historian) believes that the dagger was taken from a trial excavation at the settlement site SMR 12424. (2)
