Full Description

SK 067 794: Martinside, ?Cross: Cross shown north-west of Martinside. (1) This may refer to a stone known locally as 'The Pilgrim's Seat'. Removed in the 1920's, it was situated at approximately SK 0638 7945 beside a cross country route called the 'Pilgrims Way'. This fell into disuse when cut by the railway. (2)
